your classics, show me them

As I said yesterday, I've been on an old movie a classics kick! I'm not an expert in classic cinema, in fact there's a whole lot I've never seen. And all I have to go by is the opinions of my fellow netflixers, and those awards lists and whatnot. So I'd love to hear from you guys!

What are some of your favorite classic movies? I'm mostly looking for movies pre-70's, say, 1940-1960, but Feel free to define "classic" in whatever way makes you warm and fuzzy.

I really like... (aside from a few that you've already listed)
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Funny Face
Magnificient Seven the Yul Brynner version
Charade - Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn
Zorro with Tyrone Power (maybe The Mask of Zorro?)
I'll watch anything with John Wayne (but that might be my grandmother's influence she was a huge fan of his. I especially like the western with Dean Martin in it as the drunk sidekick - Rio Bravo. You'll recognise its influence on Silverado if you've seen that cowboy spoof.)
Sabrina the Humphrey Bogart version.

SO many of my old favourites have been remade but have yet to surpass the original versions in my list of all time favourite movies.

And if you want to see Clint Eastwood in a musical... Paint your Wagon... kinda slashy to boot!
