Howard and Vince are the two main characters, but there are other major characters as well, including a shaman and his gorilla familiar. And lots of recurring characters. It is not sketch comedy, as I first assumed (and why I avoided it for a while) but it is a narrative, which is part of why it is so addictive. There is also a lot of singing and weirdly good music. In fact the live DVD is the reason I bought that muti-region player. :D
The platinum wig is part of a storyline in which Howard and Vince mistakenly summon a demon who takes the form of a "nana". They're in disguise to infiltrate the local bingo game in an attempt to locate her! The episode is called "Nanageddon". ^__^
