Happy Birthday, Mr. J!

Somewhat belated but close enough.
You know his story by now! He hitched a ride on a UPS truck all the way from Texas to be here with us. And he was only a day old! A brave kitty indeed.
Mr. Jones

Seen with his favorite chair. And by "favorite" I mean, of course, his favorite to mutilate/maim/destroy.
Chillin'. (Actually, he was squinting at the fill light I was pointing at him for pic purposes. Displeased Kitty is displeased.)
All previous Mr. J pics right here!
Non-Mr. J related (the Captain calls him J-Box now... she's spent too much time around electrician types), there was a box turtle in the yard when I got home this evening. (Beware phone pictures!)

He was cute!
He snuggled up against my bag when I sat it down to snap a photo. I guess he (? I once knew but have forgotten how to tell them apart... something to do with the tail?) thought it would save him! I took this shot for size comparison but the watch in the foreground just makes him look tiny. He was small but not that small. Probably as long as my hand.
He wandered off and hid in a little clump of pine needles. Curiously, the dogs weren't really all that interested.
