Have been working on this post for a few days and have been too busy to finish! I shall try to be brief!

First and foremost! The kitten, whom we've been lovingly calling "Jiffy Kitty", went to the vet yesterday, was neutered and poked and all of that, and went to his new home last night. A friend of a lady at work.

PT was not hard Tuesday, but something we did aggravated my neck and it was very angry at me that afternoon and part of yesterday. I kind of freaked out a little. But I ran Tues anyway and finished the PT things we didn't do. When it was still unhappy yesterday I called PT guy and he suggested ice and a doc if the pain worsens. To my surprise the ice helped (my surprise because my PA always tells me heat instead), and I went swimming last night with no problems SO THERE! It's a bit unhappy again today but I feel like I know how to lick it now!

I continue to kind of suck at swimming. I realize this is not something I'm going to pick up overnight, especially with my monumetally terrible coordination. Seriously, like, award-winningly poor! PT guy says he will be satisfied when I can freestyle a lap with no pain, and I'm thinking, man I can't freestyle ten feet without screwing up, pain or not!

Movies!

The Captain is on an 80's kick. Her parents were not movie-goers or watchers when she was growing up, so she wants to see what she missed! The Cheesier the better. We started with Pretty in Pink,
Can't Buy Me Love
, and Just One of the Guys. I think, overall, she preferred the last. It is honestly the funniest of the three!

Running buddy and I wathced The Lion In Winter. Gosh. What a script! Nearly everyone in this was wonderful. Gay Richard!Anthony Hopkins ftw.

And, Rebecca. Loved it all over again. It's always been one of my favorite Hitchcock films. I need to see more Laurence Olivier. Joan Fontaine was also wonderful and I look forward to seeing her with Cary in Suspicion.

Great that the ice worked! I'm surprised he didn't explain that heat and cold work on different problems. Cold reduces inflammation while heat soothes overworked muscles and loosens tight ones. I would imagine that your neck problems come from inflammation making things difficult for nerves rather than being muscular, thus ice.

I've seen few 80's movies myself and therefore lack sympathy for an entire generation, I guess.^^

Rebecca is a great one. Joan Fontaine is great in that. It takes a lot for me to say that because I'm not too fond of her. I've chosen to like her sister instead of her. Yes, I've chosen my side in the epic sibling rivalry that still continues to this day. hehe ;)

Suspicion is pretty good and Cary is great in it. I will say the ending kinda makes me a bit mad and once you see it you'll know what I mean. Hitch had to change it. Don't read about the film until you see it because it will spoil it for you. Fontaine is alright in it. She won an Oscar for her performance in it, but a lot of people think it was really for her performance in Rebecca, which I think was a far superior performance.
