My very best news is that a thing that seemed to be wrong with my car is not wrong at all. The suspicious noise was being caused by the jack in my trunk, unsecured after my flat two weeks ago. I was seriously thinking of buying a new car rather than put more money into this one, but I will put that off a little longer now. I hate being rushed into that sort of thing.
Sunday night I dreamed about Supernatural. In space. Also, Kevin Spacey was doing stunt driving in our side yard, apparently having something to prove to his father who... never thought he could be a stunt driver? I don't know. There was also a bit about rescuing an animal (I cannot remember if it was a cat or a duck or something else) from where it had been hung by its feet in a tree. Possibly I owe that one to watching Labyrinth earlier in the evening.
Costumes are coming along. My Not-quite-Howard!coat is finally boppin' around the US, hopefully to arrive today or tomorrow. I really hope it fits my big man-shoulders. I still have to fur up some gloves and make my fur booties. I've fashioned a moustache that looks more like Cheech Marin than Howard Moon but it makes for good laughs. The Captain has lent me goggles.
Goku is still in early stages. Tonight I will fabric spray-paint the breast and back symbols and work more on booties. The nephew has decided he wants to be Super Saiyan, which is probably a bit easier than regular Goku hair.
The poor Captain has had nothing but trouble with Vince. She is so disappointed and it has taken so much time and effort, and she isn't even finished. She's found a great wig, though, and I think that it will all look pretty bitchin', if not perfect, in the end.
My worst news is that I still haven't found running shoes that I like, and have not been running for two weeks. And I can tell the difference in many not-really-awesome ways!
