So uh... ETA: I'm an idiot.

Why the fuck did Castiel pull Dean out of hell? To, uh stand around in a room? To complicate things? If all the angels wanted was for Sam to kill Lillith, Sam was already on that path before Dean came back. *Because* Dean was dead.

So. Uh. Not that I don't appreciate all your hard effort, Cas, and for trying to save the day and molesting our boy looking good doing it. But. Er?

Ok, let's pretend I didn't say that. What I meant to say was:

YAY, SAMMY NOT EVIL NO MORE. Unless, of course, he (UNWILLINGLY) becomes Lucifer's vessel. I hope not. [EDIT: Ah! Wait! THE TATTOO! He can't be possessed! Unless, of course, Lucifer's too powerful for a little babygate like that to stop him. Arg.) I'm glad to have Sammy back. I'm glad Dean has Sammy back!

Castiel was pretty sweet, too. (And Chuck.)

Well, Zach (the angel who I can never remember for sure but I think is called Zachariah -- the older white guy) said that only Dean can defeat Lucifer. So, I guess they could have waited to haul him out, except maybe they were worried he wouldn't want to help if he was in Hell too long? that maybe he'd join Lucifer's side? But they needed Sam to start the war and Dean to win it for them.

*pets lots* Honestly, it did really look like they pulled him out just so he could stand around in a room angsting. I got really frustrated with that part.

Yeah, his standing around was frustrating, and honestly the whole thing was a little anticlimactic for me, considering. But I was just so glad to get Sammy back. My tolerance for Sam-hurting-Dean is very very low.

The effect at the end, the glow-worm-chested, panting Lillith? That was pretty sweet.
